These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and Peony governing your use of the Peony app and website. By creating an account or using Peony, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Peony.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Peony. By using Peony you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to enter into this agreement.

Your Account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Keep your login details confidential and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable Use

Peony is for personal, respectful use between consenting partners. You agree not to:

Upload or share content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, hateful, threatening, or that invades another person's privacy.
Share sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers a person.
Use Peony to harass, coerce, impersonate, or deceive another person.
Attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its security.
Use Peony for any commercial purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

We may remove content and restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Your Content

You keep ownership of the answers and media you create. You grant Peony a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the service for you and the partner you are playing with. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.

Subscriptions and Billing

Peony offers optional paid Peony+ plans that unlock additional decks and features.

Monthly and annual Peony+ plans are sold only inside the App Store and Google Play apps as auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple or Google account at the price shown before purchase. We do not sell or process Peony+ purchases on the website.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and at the store price shown before purchase unless you cancel before the next renewal through your store account settings.
Where offered, Peony+ Lifetime is a one-time, non-renewing in-app purchase at the store price shown before purchase.
Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
For App Store purchases, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation; the subscription is governed in part by Apple's Standard EULA in addition to these terms.
Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. App Store and Google Play purchases are subject to the refund policies of those stores.

Cancellation and Termination

You may stop using Peony and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use Peony ends; sections that by their nature should survive, including content license for already-shared content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms, will survive.

Safety and Reporting

You can report safety, abuse, or privacy concerns from the in-app Support screen or by emailing hi@playpeony.com. We may restrict accounts or remove content to protect users and the service.

Disclaimers

Peony is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Peony is a conversation game and is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, or relationship advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peony and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Peony in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date and, where appropriate, by notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Peony's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you.
